Hi, so I have a question.
I really enjoyed doing these and I think I'll do more soon, but I run into a few problems when I do.
1) Some people never get to do them due to time/availability, despite seeing them on the forum.
2) Some people never get to do them because it is literally a race to see who can post a reply first.
3) I suffer from extreme event-creep and whenever I write out something that is supposed to be simple it ends up expanding into 1 million other things.
Would it be better to have these done spontaneously in the world, as opposed to having smaller ones posted on the board?
Keep in mind, this suggestion doesn't invalidate the bounty board. Rather, it provides an alternative for people who can't properly get a party together or who aren't really ready for serious bounties.
If I proceeded this way:
- In-game bounties would likely just literally be a boss-fight or a mechanic with a set amount of loot, pre-approved beforehand for convenience. Could also maybe branch out into EC paths but nothing super complex to keep from burn-out.
- Bounties posted on the forums would likely remain the larger affairs that they are as opposed to there being a somewhat uneven mix of not-very-indepth-ones and very-indepth-ones.
