as an ether mage who was seriously considering dipping into cosmic for this spell, im appalled. this is a direct attack on me as a person.

I agree with this, it needs some type of nerf. I'm a cosmic melee build without the technique, and is seriously considering to switch out a spell for Astral Arc. I mean, who wouldn't? To even add on as stated, the ridiculous low c/d it has for a basic spell. It should be a hidden if anything or some type of nerf for it to be considered basic.
