• Rumor becomes widely known fact - the Sanctuary has been openly severing Witches and Warlock from contracts of Black Magic. They act under an obligation to Freedom to any who earnestly seek it, often shouldering the cost of such precious rites if able. This is no small wonder, considering their coffers are doubtless not quite so deep as some other nations.
  
• Consequently, after the rite their leader Felice Argus has undergone, Sanctuary has become a hub for a small sect of Sorcerers. They are known to carry a seal different from those of Aetius.
   
  • Recruitment is active, but those allowed the seal are selective - lessons in the Arcane, however, are more broadly offered
    
   
  
• Sanctuary, since it was a tower, has already been host to a few lessons in the Arcane. It has been cultivating some interest in the art from those across several settlements, but some are clearly more welcome than others.
  
• Though many of the Sanctuary do not take to faiths, and some are even suspicious of those who do, they welcomed a recent Melodian feast - The Lord’s Glut - and turned it into a welcoming affair. Those of disparate beliefs ate and drank in honor of the depths of Winter, to brace for the cold dark days ahead.
  

• More lessons to be planned in the future. The subjects are bound to vary, given the broad knowledge of those present in the settlement, but are bound to include more basic matters of the Arcane and even telepathy.
  
• Plans for projects are in the works, some of which are fairly public. Any wanting work should seek the Runesage Thea Sigurjonsdottir for the following:
  
  • Work for cleansing of the land is in progress, to make it more inhabitable for Sanctuary’s people. Those well versed in runic formulae are best for this task.
    
  • Spiritmancers are being sought, to be consulted for matters in calling and encouraging cooperation with these forces.
    
  
  

• Their cloaks and armor strongly resemble old Atrellyan attire, reappropriated and repurposed. Even their leadership being named ‘Sages’ is strikingly similar.
  
• The leading Sage is purported to have been, or even might still be, a Demon. Mutterings on this are mixed as far as what exactly she may be, or if there is some ulterior motive.
  
• Cambions are among their ranks, claiming to have been freeborn without the blood or flesh of a demon. But is that even possible?

⁜Earth and water magi are requested to aid in the Isles landmass expansion to alleviate overcrowding of structures, and allow further growth of the isle.

⁜ The disposable spell scroll project has had a recent boon, as studying the articles displayed in prior auctions of similar scrolls has granted further insight into the finer points of the craft.

⁜The waygate project has a tentative new location pending further discussions with other parties. However as to not put all their eggs in a basket, the Isles has pulled its shipping fleet in for upgrades and refit, to account for the narrow passage between the north and south seas.

⁜ The prior talks of support for a new home on Nilhirra have since been rescinded, and those of the Spire have been offered alternatives for relocating within the isles. Additionally a Shrine to the Divine Four has been setup by the previous Champion of Aeldfyr, Kayda, with the present Aeldfyr Champion Ruka, and Inquisitor Suzuka available to discuss matters of the faith. However the Queen wishes Yue and Valdis good fortune with their ends.

Years have passed since the isle of Nilhirra was once more secured into safety from The Nameless Circle. Following such a success, The Republic of Paritas was met with not only strife, but great losses. It is only after the proper time to process these happenings was spent, that the discussions about what the fate of Nilhirra would be, actually began to transpire. It is during this time, there were rumored to be particularly heated discussions with select individuals in the middle of Goldlight. A continuous back and forth between select individuals, before ultimately, the decision was made by The Chancellor, Nix Bargiel to hand off the protection of the island to both Valdis Richter and Yue Talalt.

With the formal announcement given by The Chancellor, movement upon the island began nearly immediately.  Drakanites and Dragons from all over Meranthe gathered upon the island and shared stories of history, as well as personal stories of previous Drakanite generations. It is within the light of the bonfires that unification was found, and a hope for a secure future for their kind was made.  A declaration made by both Yue and Valdis that there will be a push for Drakanite and Dragon kind, so that they may once more thrive with their freedom and be given a proper place to raise their families. That they will foster a home where history and freedom will be valued.

However, this city has been left to its own devices and paves their own path forward in the name of deliverance and rebirth.

One of the main focuses currently is the creation of Waygates to Pyrithian from its united relations. Rumor has it there will be two waygates made, one placed in Gloomlight Grove, and another placed in Martyr’s Vigil. This will allow for easier travel between nations, and to encourage easier travel for visitors.

Recently led by Yue Talalt, the cleansing of the cave upon the island has been completed with the aid of various holy and occult magi. This is an effort to undo the corruption planted by The Nameless Circle in the years prior. With this success, it is hoped that this cave will be used for combat purposes from now on. Valdis Richter plans to kick this off in the form of a ranked combat competition in the coming months. It is encouraged to keep an eye out for this announcement if this might be something of interest.

Any and all Drakanites, Dragons, and their allies, are encouraged to come to Pyrithian if they seek a place to live and work. This includes but is not limited to survivors of previously fallen Drakanite cities. There is room for housing upon request, and many job opportunities available. Some of these jobs include state appointed Doctors, Alchemists, Artificers, and Runecasters. For each job there will be a head of that department, and this person will be given yearly wages to be discussed. Any not listed here are encouraged to be suggested.

A military is in its beginning stages, and will be called ‘The Pyrithian Legion’. A missive goes out that the city is in search of a Commander of said army, as well as those who seek to help protect their kin properly. Proper ranks and names for those ranks will be developed later on as the island becomes more established.

Unlike previous generations, Pyrithian will not be led by one singular force or religion, but rather be represented by multiple faces known as ‘The Tiamat’.  Currently, three out of four chairs are taken by Valdis Richter, Yue Talalt, and Ruka R. Kazana.  The purpose of The Tiamat is to hear the concerns of the people as a whole, and work as a team to address them.

• Plenty of coin invested into hiring non-magi contractors and securing building materials, the Sanctuary's infrastructure expands all throughout the southern Shadowlands, with new brick-made towers and halls overseeing the similarly gloomy landscape.
   
  
• Rituals take place to make the realm of Sanctuary more habitable, with Nora Hyde spearheading a call for the local spirits to allow for, and assist with Sanctuary's rapid expansions.
   
  
• The Sword of Sanctuary is established as the nation's military might, seeing plenty of new arrivals under the watchful eye of Braxton Bargiel.
   
  
• Felice Argus, the Sage of Liberation, brings forth Sorcerers old and new in search of innovation within the art.
   
  
• Both local and foreign scholars work over-time under Cedric Veythar, the newly-appointed Head of Research, concerning matters largely unknown to the wider public.
   
  
• The Sanctuary makes clear its stance on matters of Faith and the Divine. Onlookers at celebration of the settlement’s expansion and success bore witness to a tense ousting of Grey Aundeoth, making diplomacy stagnate between the nascent nation and other nearby neighbors.
  

• Lessons are announced to resume in short order, after the settlement went quiet to bolster its own expansion. A word of forewarning is issued, however: not all are evidently welcome at these lessons any longer, lest they prove themselves of worth or have some means to contribute to the Sanctuary’s general cause.
   
  
• The esoteric Sorcerers of the Wolfshead Seal are vigilant for new members, seeking those of the proper mindset to join their Order.
    
  
• There are supposedly tools, arts, and gifts unique to this Seal that are seldom spoken of openly.
    
  
• There is talk of work being performed to circumvent the loss of a Sorcerer’s Soul upon death, though any labors on this effort are kept carefully guarded.
  

• Talk swirls about the Sanctuary being in possession of relics of Divine magic Though for what purpose is unclear, given their intolerance for the Pantheon’s worship in their walls.
   
  
• Members of the Shadowlands city have been spied going to and from the Isle of Death - what’s more, supposedly one of the Isle’s crows has taken roost somewhere within their keep.
   
  
• The Sanctuary’s keep itself is host to several underground tunnels, which hold all manner of misbegotten research and sleights against the Gods. Who knows what else is in them...
  

• Sadhbh has stepped up as temporary Lord (Lady?) of Aetius in her father’s diligence to the sleeping world. All matters of business can be addressed to her.
  
• Aetius’ duty continues to be focused on bettering mankind through various means. What this means moving forward is being kept to their chest for now, though they appear willing to speak to the outside world.

• Aetius is recruiting like minded individuals, as well as those showing an aptitude for the Arcane!

• Caelan Anardil has been named the Warden of Arcadia. The foremost protector of the land, the concerns of defense and the Enemy's actions are for him to handle. His Tree Sentinels seek new recruits still. All interested in contributing are welcome to seek him or his trusted lieutenants, Ban Dai and Sirona Riptide.
  
• Amatírë has been granted one of the Duchess' own titles: the Keeper of the Order of the White. As a Minister, most concerns of global cooperation, diplomacy, and the Mission fall to her.
  
• Nymphaea Aubreen is officially recognized as heir apparent to the title of the Duchess of Arcadia. For her dilligence and dedication to administration, she carries the duties of the Minister to prepare for her future station.
  

• Ad Contra Deos, resurgent under Melos dul Vique, are treated as the remnants of the Enemy's forces upon Meranthean soil. None who have entreated and enabled Atrellyan conquests shall be left without justice.
  
• Powers of the void have become more prominently seen around the lands of Meranthe. All hands are called to fight back against that which threatens Creation and the sanctity of the mind. Whosoever seeks to combat its insidious influences is welcome to seek the expertise of the students of Harmony to heal the world's wounds.
  
• For further prosperity, to fight back against the darkness' tide, and to awaken the slumbering tree, a certain grove is in the works. Furthermore, the Duchess declares that soon, the works on the tainted lands of the Frontier shall begin to make them inhabitable once more.
