Novus Charity Ball - OneBrainCell - 05-08-2022

After years of promises, withheld by the trials and tribulations of Esshar, the city of Novus is happy to announce its first charity ball / auction.
Located in the Novus Workshop, the large building that can be accessed directly off the docks and north of the marketplace is where the auction shall be held.
Items from all across Esshar have been gathered, relics and intrigues of all types of magic and origin.
Per Novus tradition, members of warring nations may write and receive a travel writ to attend the auction, but regardless of who is in attendance the Novus law still stands.
No violence within the city. Grudges are to be left at the boat for a night of merriment and socialization before the drums of war.
A formal dress code is encouraged for the dance itself, however obligation to stay for the ball itself as well as abiding by the dress code will not be enforced if there are those who simply wish to attend the auction itself.

Mere months before the Novus Charity Ball, flyers spread across Esshar detailing some of the valuable resources to be listed at the auction alongside a reminder. All allied and neutral nations are welcome to attend but those from warring or conflicting cities must receive a writ of passage if they wish to traverse the Eastern Empire.
A final reminder is offered that, as always, violence is prohibited within Novus. Personal grievances must be left at the docks.

The first item to be revealed is a single brooch made of precious ores and a meteorstone. Shaped in the form of a lion's head the piece seems to have an uncanny connection to the cosmos, specifically the blue branch of the stars. The perfect collectible for any good cosmic magi.

The second item revealed seemed to be an ordinary tablet at first glance, but upon closer inspection, a tale of love and protection can be read. Inherently bound to the lifestream itself, this item radiates harmonic energy and a connection to the good in the world. Though difficult to initially decipher, the item holds secrets and information tied to the lifestream making it the perfect addition to any scholar's collection.

The third and final item revealed amongst the collection of many more is a blank yet powerful tome. Once held by the witches of the Labyrinth, this book embedded with orichalcum and gems is a potent battery awaiting a new source to amplify. Whatever knowledge the owner wishes to imbue, whatever magic they wish to amplify, this book is the perfect conduit.
