An (Un)Pleasant Surprise - ACuriousGrey - 03-29-2023 ![]() Soon, rumors would come from the quaint, definitely-not-pirate infested island of Mina Solis, capital of the self-dubbed Kingdom of Nasou. A boat arrived, carrying a man in rags and chains, flanked by a handful of guards. A box- a present, it would seem- was thrust into his hands, and he was kicked off before the boat returned home. The present seemed to be addressed to one 'Admiral Niclous Runeclaw'. As for it's contents... there were two things. One was a note. And the other was the severed head of the Admiral's daughter, Katey. The note read as follows, spoken out loud to those present: Quote:Dear Nic, The message was quite clear, it would seem. Athelios' Hunting Dog was coming for him. RE: An (Un)Pleasant Surprise - Jeonsa - 03-29-2023 ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbPKZSfheFY It was not Niclous who found the body on the shores that day. But another. One who was suffering on his own. Yet continued forth. Trudging along the sand. Holding the head closely before wrapping it gently. To be placed into a well made wooden box from the trees of the island. Made by himself. Embalmed by himself. He began his work. Carving away at stone. Using his skills as an Artifcer. Creating a magnificent piece to show to the Island and all who came. A woman that resembled Katey, with white wings of feathers on her back. Pure in all aspects. The box laid to rest deep in the ground underneath. It was perhaps better Niclous or others had not been here for such. For war was over the Horizon. Yet he took this sacred duty and burden alone with him to do. An inscription was made upon the statue. ' Though death separates those loved to those long gone, may your memory and good deeds remain in the hearts of many.' Letters are seen spread across the lands. With the words of a specific king of fools written upon them. For all to see.
Quote:"That she may rest in peace now. A woman who simple loved her father. That loved her craft. Spreading the energies of the holy to many. Giving hope to many others. A woman I shall remember who had calmed crying children. Who wished a simple life to live with her family in Dal'thala that she had chosen over her father. |
