In Memory of the Fallen - Bluebird - 05-07-2023
Aphros has been vassalized, and the Empire of Meranthe has been established - but not without the loss of life and bloodshed.
And such a loss cannot be ignored by Azalea Aubreen.
Word soon spreads, whether carried by letters held by doves or through the whispers of commonfolk that a festival in the honour of the fallen is to be held.
To honour Jack Equisol and Yvelle Vacerayne, as well as the non-magi civilians and soldiers that died during the battles and war.
For the lives they have lived and in honour of the service they have provided for the world as a whole.
A memorial for loved ones to share their feelings and to ensure their souls find their way peacefully into the lifestream...
and to prepare for what is to come.
Priests and priestesses in attendance are to prepare to conduct a mass prayer in the middle of the memorial to be a proper send off and to bolster those that are in attendance.
Afterwards, a ceremony is to be held to see who shall next wield the Shield of Valor and Airgetlam.

Those in attendance allowed to speak their minds if they wished, and others to pray in silence as the voices of priests and priestesses of various faiths came together to share in this trying time.
Words of purpose and of what lies ahead, those of hope, those of remembering the fallen and carrying life on in their name, to not forget what lurks in the dark.
The Asperan Church retains a heavy feeling of spiritual energy from the mass prayers for the fallen and for the days ahead, whilst flowers continue to grow through the cracks of concrete and the hedges within.
But, more than that:
Jack Equisol's successors were chosen by the Heavens themselves, and are offered the items in question, as well as final words from the Oracle herself.
Kylian Woodes now wields the Shield of Valor, the defense against the dark.
