Ualdir's Relic: Chapter Two - Shanal - 11-02-2023 He had ventured to the lands of Altan's Few, endured the trials and relentless hunts of The Nights Veil. He had gained the esteem of its people, as well as the sacred blessing of the Matriarch of Whispers. He had fought in his God's name, triumphed, and proved himself. But the greatest of his gains was an old, age-worn, and yet invaluable map; a relic in itself, holding the key to another.
A parchment steeped in fables and cloaked in the whispers of time, whispers of a path. A path leading to his destiny; a legendary weapon, said to have once been used by the God of War, Ualdir himself.
And so another expedition would loom over the horizon; one far more dangerous as well as more important to him than any before. To certain volcanic lands, scarred by wars of divine and not so far from the ruins of Vdalion itself. Acquiring the weapon was one thing... but to prove himself worthy of wielding it so? The test of time awaited.

The Ten’s Citadel has entered a mixed time. While some prepared for the incoming battle with the Fel, some took to themselves and fell to sloth, deciding that they have won long before the battle started. And they were slaughtered. Some took the time to eat to their hearts contend, deciding that celebration and joy was to be an order after a close-battle with the opposition of demons… And they were slaughtered. The few that did decide to cower to secure their own lives tried to flee the Citadel, and all of them were slaughtered except one, who was plagued with burn scars and disease that left their body with red spots and puss that leaked from them, with a message to those that prepared for the road: “DESEI, MAULK, KRAUTES: Which can be inscribed to: DESEI: I have seen your forces and weighed them on the scales, and found them wanting. MAULK: I have decided to split your ten into five, for only half are worthy of blessings. KRAUTES: I will use the remains of Ragnarok to lie to rest half of you; so the other half can praise me proper. May your last trial prove that you are worthy of your birthright and riding the coattails of my name.” |
