What terrible days...

A noticeable aftermath of a battle is seen on the western edge of Martyr's Vigil. The fresh recruits of the Kingdom of Fortune and the more experienced soldiers of Goldlight's Order are seen pitching medical tents and increasing patrols along the fields that lacks a proper wall since the expansion of city boundaries.

An attack took place mere days before this, where the wounded are still being treated for a plethora of injuries, amongst them, Sovereign Saiya Emeraldi with her small personal guard seemed to have become pale from bloodloss and lacerations on all of them. The Night Creatures came in a pair, attacking denizens of the isles commuting between their allied Protector and their homes.

A brutal skirmish ensued as local guard and officials clashed to defend themselves from the beasts that took no regard for their own lives, relentlessly ripping into the defenders. Yet such aggression would become their undoing, as one had fallen at the hands of Governor Malibu, and another who struck down the Sovereign was intercepted by a Shinobi from Xuefeng, Endo. An unexpected turnout who was simply in the area and decided to single handedly save the Sovereign herself, before simply wandering off without much fanfare.

...One of the two beasts were repelled successfully, with great effort, likely to wreck havoc and terror onto more unprepared souls...
