Your father has been a medic and artificer for over twenty years. Having travelled about quite a bit, he and your mother eventually settled down in the Kingdom of Fortune, where he married her and had you and your siblings. After the death of Marfons Emeraldi, he often seemed sad and troubled, but always put on a smile for you and your mother, and was always happy to see you at all. Often busy, ever working on projects, he is a controversial figure in some circles but generally well liked by the people of the republic and the kingdom, where he held the rank of Seneschal. In his career as a medic, he ended up becoming one of the best shadow mages known to the east.

A place in which he has been, of late, very busy working on all manner of projects... seems Garret is intent on keeping the old man occupied. However, regardless of how busy he is, he's always eager to make time for you and your mother. His family matters more to him than anything.

While he's told you a little bit of his own history, he's suggested it's a largely sad story, with a few spots of pure light. Namely, your mother, who he loves with all his heart and makes it well known at the slightest provocation, and yourselves.

The once-Archnurse of Arcadia, before it was home to the church of Koretheia, has ever-done her absolute Damndest™ to pamper the children in whatever little ways she could afford to. An ascetic with low desire placed on material things in abundance, yet she strongly clings to such things with sentimentality. She's the Radiant of Caius, and maybe the strongest old women you've ever met (by metric of muscles alone). 

She basically single-handedly raised you in the sleepy far-off island of Arilator's landing. If there's a quirk about your father, she has gushed to you about it ad nauseum.

• Are one of four children, with the eldest already spawned (The first of the three of you spawn 10/19/24 in the year 2141)
  
• Are human, with black hair and either blue or green eyes like your parents
  
• Had an upbringing on Arilator's Landing, a quiet island in the corner of the continent, but were visited by friends of the family and in later years had visited Nilhirra and Sapphire Bay.
  
• Though your parents weren't wealthy monetarily, a good sum of materials were available to them. It was a comfortable life, quiet and secluded. They were both caring parents, and tried to instill good values, chiefly kindness, both being healers at heart.
  
• You may be Caian, given both parents are, but it is a choice for you to make.
  
• May have a disposition towards Metaphysics, as both parents use it
  
• Have a variety of connections across the republic, both familial and friend, to be discussed in DMs
  
• Have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills and classes once older, though your father would like you to enjoy an actual childhood instead of being pushed into child soldiery or advanced disciplines at a very young age, as seems to be the norm these days.
