Seven Years.

Following a series of failed discussions, Princess Emmeline Mugen Emeraldi of The Kingdom of Fortune, has proclaimed the intention of war.

The seafaring kingdom itself provides no backing to her... Instead, under the leadership of captain Troy, grand amounts of mercenaries swell into the ranks of the Musketeers, the strong and able... The weak and weary. All of whom are loyal to her cause alone- Or to the copious amounts of coin provided by her coffers. There is but one intention, not to loot or destroy, not to raid and pillage, but to lay claim...

Claim to the crown of Altharim, currently held by Sterling Ryder, and promised to Ragnar E. Sun.
As to why? A publicly stated intention of holding the crown as regent, for one who's hours of fate she had gazed upon...

Regardless of prior relations and intentions, one thing is for sure... An army approaches Altharim's borders.
"How much I have tried more agreeable methods- Yet one thing is sure."
"Fate is unchanging."

"I will fulfill her hours, that I gazed upon seven years ago- No matter what."

TARGET: ALTHARIM

OBJECTIVE: CONQUEST
DATE: TO BE DETERMINED

As the year passes by, no further announcements about the war come through.

It is not until a huge explosion was felt through an area next to Martyr's Vigil recently, a pillar of magic most profane, followed by an equally powerful feeling of dread as many, especially to those tuned to Lifestream as they could feel a great disturbance, sickening wound appearing only to be quickly sealed shut, even as it closed, a life remained plucked.

Reportedly, by the arranged design of them both, Sophie Durand and Emmeline Mugen Emeraldi clashed with each other somewhere on the outskirts of the area, and by the end of it. Sophie had emerged victorious.

Carrying a seemingly unconscious Emeraldi on her shoulder, into the Martyr's Vigil. She declared that the war was over, and indeed it was. The mercenaries which were under Emmeline's command stopped rallying, as by all looks of it, they would receive no payment.
Altharim would stand, with no blood shed on it's walls.
