You were raised mainly in Dal'Thala, your earliest memories are of that place, but your mother has brought you to the Sanctuary so that you can get to know it. Even though she is not very close to your paternal family, she never hid who your relatives are from you; at least, she told you everything she knew about them.

You could develop a good relationship with them if you wish.

The children grew up in a family of scholars and artisans. Your mother, although she does not insist that you be a person with great manners, has strived to give you as much knowledge as she could, you could be a bookworm or a fighter; your mother doesn't limit you when it comes to exploring your possibilities, as long as you don't cross certain lines.

If you wish, you will receive classes in Faith or Medicine. If you are interested in studying other things, she will find someone who can teach you.

It is said that there is a curse on your lineage, but that is pure speculation... or is it? It will depend on how your life turns out.
You will be provided with potions and equipment as you grow, so in that regard, you are covered, as well as medical treatment whenever you are injured.
