Quote:"It's time." A deep voice rattles from within the castle of New Mavethkar, as a darkness roams within one of its many shadows.  The sound of heavy boots clattering against the stone floors radiates in the quiet space, resounding within an echo that seems to linger. Within the shadows sits a pair of glowing crimson eyes, that seem to settle on whoever they're talking to. Is it you? Or is it someone else?  "I have made all of the preparations, and my notes...All taken during my time with Great Grandfather Grey himself. It is time to test my hand at this myself, don't you think? I have waited, and studied long enough." And yet even as the words are said, the tone is maddeningly unsure of itself. It is as if they are reasoning with themselves, and even though you can't hear it, there are crazed mutterings that escape them thereafter - and those black boots begin to pace along the castle floors.

Moonlight casts through one of the large, cathedral like windows. Paces become steps. Those glowing red eyes come closer, and from the shadows emerges a very tall figure. Dressed entirely in black, cloaked only in the colors of Mavethkar. The Head of Research, Baylor Equisol, is staring out of that window - his eyes now appearing to be wild and obsessive. Black hair falls over his eyes as his head dips down,

"I'm tired of waiting. It will either work, or it won't. Either way, it will be a learning experience...."

He reasons, his lips perking up into an ominous smile as his hands grip onto the ledge of the window, his knuckles turning white. There is a huff of laughter, "I can't wait to see the look on their faces." And whatever he is thinking, seems to be amusing to him, because that huff of laughter turns into a chuckle....And that chuckle turns into full on belly laughter, his shoulders shaking with it. A large hand lifts to cover his mouth, and tears fall from his eyes at the effort of holding in his glee.

There is to be a public experiment on the Island of New Mavethkar, the vassal state of Atheleon. Rumor has it, its Head of Research, Baylor Equisol is going to publicly complete the creation of his first Golem. Any and all are encouraged to come witness these impressive acts, and quite pointedly, he refuses to provide disclosure.
