Quote:
“Wherever the coin flows, we follow…”

A catchphrase and moniker that followed them wherever they went. Amidst many as they advanced for Cifer and the Camazura as quite the clash was to take place between them all, a small mercenary troupe could be seen making their way to Kindlehelm. Surprisingly however, their targets looked not to be any of the civilians or their home. No, instead the focus looked to be on the monolith within the nation!

Quote:“Just gotta let us topple that lil fella and we’ll leave, no need fa anyone ta draw blood on this day if we understand one anotha!”

Objective: Destroy the Monolith!

Kindlehelm's forces remain readied for mobilization again the forces of Ad Contra Deos. As the Bitter Root's posse break the horizon they may observe the collective forces parting way as they stem towards the cavern systems of Meranthe. Bailey's command rings through the ranks as he strides alongside the departing soldiers.

Quote:
"My focus remains on the safety and wellbeing of those on Meranthe. The improvement to our city can be rebuilt anew.

The mark Ad Contra Deos may leave on Meranthe can not be allowed.

Touch a single house or citizen and I will burn your tavern down myself."

The Bitter Root Crew find no contest against their goal in Kindlehelm.

A rippling reply issues forth from the patron what built it, a sneering rebuke from the mouths of many golems.

Quote:I knew Mercenaries lacked morals, but I did not take you to be this stupid.

I know who lines your pockets to do this, hoping to turn my gaze away from this ritual. Hoping to draw forces away from those who seek to destroy them. Aiding and abetting those who would end the world if given the space to do so.

You march to defend Cifer Mugen.

This act towards a gift to Kindlehelm, and later, to all Meranthe, shows that shortsighted, greedy fools will cut off their own limbs for a crumb today.

How incredibly disappointing that I ever considered helping you.
The fate of every mercenary company before you will come for you for this decision. Never entreat with existential evil.

Today, I must focus upon those who seek to kill us for daring to live. For things can be rebuilt and replaced, but people cannot.

This transgression will not be forgotten.

I know who you serve in it.

Grey Aundeoth continues his march towards Camazura's ritual.

A sleeping old man who wasn't informed about this at all wonders what the hel is going on, and attempts to get these youngins off of his lawn!

Esoti Liam will attempt to defend the spire....
if the destruction is loud enough to wake the old geezer from his nap, and he realizes what is going on.

As promised to Bailey, not a single citizen's hair was touched, nor that of a single house tarnished or burned. All of it left in as pristine condition as before their arrival. When asked by the citizens why would they accept contracts and payment from Cifer, the words from Grey's Golem ringing out in rage

The answer came from Hecate :

Quote:"We don't take jobs from Cifer."

Alongside such came a sign slapped on the Bulletin Board in the city's square with the following news, the tower crumbling in the wake of their efforts:
