Raised in the Paintscape, taught all manner of arts and skills, their talents curated and built upon to ensure their success. Trial after trial befell them, honing their minds and bodies, carving the meaning of consequence and choice into their very bones. Raised in a world where Silence is reverence, cruelty and pain are the beginnings of something beautiful, and love is... something difficult to name.

For most of your life, Yaeka is a distant and haunting figure. A doll moved by devotion and inhuman loyalty. Time and again she has stood against overwhelming odds, to return to the Paintscape—to you—more scarred and hollow than the last. You are painted to be the continuation of her legacy of blood and ash, yet not to bear the sins that stain her hands.

Until recently, that is.

Small gestures of love. Idle adjustments to your clothes and hair. Gifts given without warning, a faint smile in the shadows where there once was hollow apathy. Your grandmother, recently, has been far more 'kind' to you. Almost motherly, though she can only do so much. She is still a monster, still detached, still wrong... but as you are finally given permission to leave the painted sanctuary you've known all your life you can finally see a glimmer of what lies underneath the endless tides of ruin and woe that plagues her:

She loves you. She wants the world for you. She would fight gods, Angels, demons, Akuma, all over again if it meant you were safe.

And with this realization... the bright colors of the Paintscape give way to the harsh sting of reality.

What will you do?
You are:
  • A Kitsune, raised in the Paintscape and taught to follow the new incarnation of the Fallen Angel of Art—Aurora, a Cherub recently borne after decades of prayer and blood.
  • You are an Akatsuki, meaning your blood lends you towards either Biomancy or Pyromancy, as well as Physical Enhancement techniques handed down to each generation. Whether you sought your grandmother's knowledge of Fleshcrafting, Medicine, or Ink Magic, you will likely be given whatever training remains to unlock these talents.
  • Expected to follow the faith of Aurora, and help your grandmother build up a faith from nothing but ashes and dreams.
  • Incorporate the established lore of both the Apostles of Mydaea, as well as the Akatsuki family, to be given to you in a comprehensive lore document upon approval.
  • 16-18, and will hopefully spawn in with your twin as soon as you both are set!
  • You will have white hair and red eyes.
  • One or both of you will be cursed with the same feeble body and diminutive stature that Yaeka and her grandmother Yuki were known for.
  • Sorry to say, you are naturally mentally unstable. Trauma fixes that though. Probably.

  • A growing support network of crafters happy to help make you whatever you need.
  • Avenues to learn Fleshcrafting, Ink Magic, Medic, Faith in Aurora, crafting Uniques in the form of Relics to said faith and much more.
  • Unique opportunity to be a part of future plotlines involving the Apostles of Aurora and their creative patron!
Notes:
This is, as stated above, a lore-intensive role hook emporium. There is quite alot of things to integrate and consider when making this character, and will likely restrict the kind of story you wish to write. Applicants should be willing to be malleable where possible so that they fit within their place in the story we've been building for several years now. However, if you wish to play as their younger siblings, please apply!
You will have the option not to have been afflicted with the family's curse, since your older siblings had tanked that for you (Good job Kyoko and Kazuya, very proud).
Also, Chaos and Order Magics have been added to your list of possible dev paths, should your character wish to pursue it!
