Character: Benjamin Thomson
Which Event: A Night At The Opera
Responsiveness: 10/10 | When you have a DM that already comes prepared with a starting narration, you can know you'll have an attentive DM.
Balance: 10/10 | HCOD, and it was challenging as one would expect without relying on hyper focusing on one the party members to force them down as one might fear. The threat of death was there, with any time you get knocked down felt earned by the boss.
Storytelling: 10/10 | He asked us in advance if we are okay with the event going crazy with +18 stuff, we said okay, and he delivered on it very early on! He also took into account our characters' traumas into the event, making the scene more personal for everyone involved - Yes, even the one who ended up joining the event last minute, having them be addressed by the ECs in the narration.
Fairness: 10/10 | I believe I touched about it already in Balance. Throughout the fight, there wasn't any reliance on cheap tactics by the EC that would've felt too difficult or uncompromising to deal with. They fought with 'phases' in between too, that if you were attentive enough you could figure out a way around them.
Overall: 10/10 | I now know who to ask first should I make an event for myself
