Twenty seven years ago, in the 441st year since the founding of the Realm of Delphina, the nation was splintered. The Greathive of Formica, originally bound by pact at the turn of the millennium to protect the realm, had seized control of the capital, Dal'Thala. Fourteen years ago, Formica burned, and the Hive was expelled from Dal'Thala. In the time since, the former capital had sent various envoys of strict ettiqquete and meticulously worded and calligraphed letters in the attempt to reconnect with its wayward subjects. Unfathomable amounts of tea, polite greetings and farewells have been shared by diplomats, and yet the Realm of Delphina remains in pieces.

In pieces, but still existent, in a sense. The myriad duchies, baronies, and principalities all gathering, squabbling, and insisting upon their own claims to Delphina on varying grounds of academic, technological, cultural, religious and military virtues. There are a few political definitions of Delphina in the modern day, all contentious and none near as strong and stable as the once famed nation was. As Meranthe runs awash with the great evils of demons and undead, a conclusion has been reached by the royalty of Dal'Thala.

A more direct and urgent approach must be taken. A grand summit is called, of all those who once and still do espouse themselves to be Delphinan nobility, bearing the hope to secure the right to rule the realm by all necessary means of diplomacy and force, over all other claimants. To unify the realm once more, and let it stand as one true form in the face of coming darkness, lest it suffer multiple farcical deaths in its fractured state.
