The Ensanguined Voivod.
A name that has struck fear into the hearts of those in Gloomlight's countryside in recent years. Residents within farms have gone missing, some returning as corpses to be left in the wilds with every droplet of blood drained from them somehow. Or worse, decorating the castle grounds in disturbing displays of ritualistic sacrifice or of warning.

Rumours soon begin to circulate further with mentions of the self Prcolaimed ruler now carrying a goblet that never seems to empty of blood. Something some claim to see them drinking from, others claiming it to be filled with the blood of his victims and the "Knightly Order of the Dragon" that follow his patrols. Worse still are those that speak of what the Voivod is. A monster in human form, a creature of the night, perhaps...

A dreaded vampire.

These rumors eventually reach the ears of Galena Altha.
And after some ruminations, she assembles members of the Bastion to assist her in quelling these rumors once and for all and to bring the truth to light. And perhaps hopefully an end to the countryside's woes for the time being.
