In the year 2218AC, preparations stir as the trees begin to shed their colored leaves in anticipation of the coming winter. A group, already contesting a legal claim to the house after the passing of the Queen of Fortune, Rubi K. Emeraldi, have reached a legal-stand off, where sides have already been drawn thin on promises of aid. However, this has not caused a halt in their own progress of legitimize their claim over the house.

Annie Richter: Page of the Oracle, Squire of the Knights of Ilios Wrote:I may mourn those you have lost, yet you continue to attempt to coerce and lie about what you have at stake in this house. You hold it over my head as if I did not have the guts to say, ''enough is enough . '' I have played along long enough-- your last offer was a spit in my face, and all my kindness has been for naught. Know this: winter does not come kindly for those unprepared.

And I will say this for the last time:
I offer you one hundred and fifty thousand coins and--no more, no less. If you decline this generous offer, know this: you will be left with nothing.

Date: Tuesday, 14th of April - 3PM EST

As the young queen emerged from her meetings, a messenger and a servant delivered the news; she took the message, and the maids and pages said that the young queen’s expression was one of… disappointment.

She then headed toward the desert dunes without saying a word other than:

Quote:
I'll be right back.

No one knows what happened next; only witnesses who saw the queen looking far too calm to be true report that, after going to the dunes, she walked with a group of people toward the disputed house, where loud noises were heard in the area, and after a while she returned to the desert with the same group.

And from there, she issued a statement

Quote:Almost exactly a year ago, my mother received letters from you demanding the house, she told you 'No.' but you insisted.

Then? You barged into the house while Queen Rubi was away on business.

What happened next? She changed the locks.

After her death, barely an hour later, one of your aunts barged into the house, demanding it.

At that moment, I should have done something, but I put it off at the request of two people I care about, who told me to be more lenient with you, to be more forgiving.

I spoke with your brother and said that if you left me alone until you turned eighteen, I would sell you the house. At that moment, thanks to his words, I considered lowering the price to a hundred thousand as a gesture of peace between us... or if you truly hadn’t bothered me, I would have given it to you.

As long as... you left me alone during that time.

It hasn't even been three months since that conversation, and you've already tried something, Annie Richter. You really are a lost cause. You claim to have a right to a property that my family has looked after for over three decades. Your family? Not a single adult in your family, apart from that aunt, has even come close.

I’m tired. I don’t have time for your tantrums. Go yell and scream that everything is unfair somewhere else.
I said it… over and over again 'If she tries anything else and that house disappears.'

I warned.

You kept going.

This is the consequence.

Anyone who went to see where that house once stood can tell you that... it no longer exists; not even a single wall remains. The maid who had worked so diligently all those years has left to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

After that, the Queen of Fortune returned to her office to take care of the paperwork.
