Such qualities allow for rumor to spread between merchant and laborer, warrior and mercenary. It is not long before word carries to the other nations, words of Frostspeaker, Thane, and Hofgothi.

The people of those outside Vdalion forfeited the direct intervention of Ymir's people when they fled the golden empire of yore upon the Hero-King's peaceful passing to strike out on their own. Further rumor seems to reiterate the claims in the recount of the statement from Vdalion's leaders, one that declares huskarl and shieldbearer alike black banner and sharpen ax in preparation for the nearing assault.
