After several years of gathering information, careful planning, and waiting for Memoria's blessing of opportunity- the abacomancer and her friends journey to a runic structure called the Well of Records, better resembling an underground tower lined with stairs. This well never served as a water source but became a place for archives and records shared between followers of fate, time, and history; originally sealed and preserved to be a time capsule from when the end of time was near, and mankind wished to reflect upon their greatest works- whether it be taboo, sacred or in between. A tunnel system supposedly connects the well various caves and other monuments.
However, perhaps centuries ago, the seal had been broken by some unknown force. Bandits? A hel-bound entity? Either way, the well had beckoned many adventurers and scholars to delve into the depths ... and only one came out. A man that recounted his journey there with his friends:
Quote:"The first to fall was Mariah. Her mark, a jagged line across her chest- the poor girl got caught in a river we were crossing and panicked. She staked herself in that exact spot by a stalagmite. We ... we couldn't get her so had t' leave her there."
"Thorn immediately wanted to leave right after-funny considering it was his idea in th' first place to go down there. His was a loop around his neck. We tried tracing our steps and kept ending up in one of the earlier chambers. The thing is, it felt like a couple of hours f' me but after a while he got real emaciated. Time works differently down there for everyone, lass. I took my eye off of him to rest and he ... he fashioned noose out of his clothing and killed himself."
"Eldrin's was the most bizarre, the mark covered him completely. He vanished out of existence as if he was never there to begin with. I wish I knew what happened to him So I warn you, lass ... don't go down there unless you wish to die."
"But what about you? You managed to survive."
"... they made an example out of me to warn people like you. But go ahead! You all never listen ..."
