In the Moment

On that day, I became an adult
Life goes on with or without me
The innocent days feel so distant
That I which agree...

But am I ready to leave childhood behind?
There's a distant memory yet to recall
Of a story I want retold
One that is not so small...

Be not shackled by the burdens of the past
And live in the moment...
Maybe one day...

I won't be muzzled by torment.
