Experement Logs of Alchemist Rickel    Entry 1.

Abstract:
I desided to keep a recording of my expirements from now on. This is becuase it will help me remember what I did when I do future expirements and improve at alchemy.

Purpose:
I am going to make a levitation potion out of popylus flowers, firefly thorax, water, a air crystal, and sugarcap mushrooms. I added air crystal becuase a normal levitation potion needs mana support and normal people can’t fly proper if I do not add it.

Hypothesis:
I think if I add air crystals I will be able to fly better.

Materials:
Popylus Flower
Firefly Thorax
Sugarcap Mushroom
Air Crystal
Mortar
Pestle
Hammer
Cloth
Water

Procedure:
1. I got 25 stems of popylus and cut them all in half and pulled the pith out with my scooper. I picked the popylus near the Athelstone Mines. They were massive so they work better I think.
2. I could not cut the flight muscles or the biolumesent organs with my knife because the fireflies were too small so I threw them all in instead. I used 40 fireflies I gathered outside in Dal’Thala. Note!! Fireflies are nasty when crushed!!! It made me ill for a half hour, caution!!
3. I think if I had a smaller knife I could have done it better because my kitchen knife was too big and they just got crushed.
4. I took the cap off the sugarcap mushroom, and mushed it. I got the mushroom from the garden. I put away the stalk for dinner for soup.
5. I crushed the air crystal with one of the silver rocks that scary person gave me the other day for one of my mushrooms.

6. For the crushing step I wrapped the crystal with my other shirt so the crystal dust would not go away.
7. I mixed all four of the ingredients together over a low fire in a pot, and added water so it would be less viscus.
8. The fumes were rank so keep clear of the mixing pot!
9. After a quarter hour of mixing, take it off the fire and cool it.

Results and Data:
I drank one of the vials and I floated like I wanted but I also got a stomachache. Also the potion was sludgy like mud and tasted awful. Also some little bits of crystal got caught on my throat and it hurt a lot so I had to go to the doctor and they got angry at me.

Conclusion:
The air crystal made it work better because I was able to move better while floating. However next time the air crystal should be crushed more and I should make sure the unneeded bug bits are gone. 


I used the format in one of my alchemy books for recording experments because it is what most people use.
