Yggdrasil and the Faeries

Beyond the beginning, far from Atmos, there was only the void and the horrific abominations that dwelled within. Kraus Eternia came with a flash of light, ‘He’ and ‘His’ army carved a piece of the void for himself and his creation, tearing null apart. Void creatures and their Gods alike that could not escape fell under ‘His’ light, their impure corpses littered that which Kraus enlightened.

Though dead, their bodies were filled with taint and resentment against the massacre. It proved far too corruptive for the ‘Angelic Host’ and ‘His’ allies to purify completely and quickly. Having much more to do, the duty of safeguarding these vile corpses fell to a single seed which Kraus had long prepared: Yggdrasil.

It was Yggdrasil with which the concepts of ‘purification’ originate. She was planted upon the corpses of the Void Gods, rooting upon their hatred and draining them of their corruption. Their deaths served as the fertile soil in which life would be born, the beginning of the cycle of life and death.

Moments after the 'First Breath' woke ‘His’ brethren, ‘He’ too awakened the seed. From there, it was storied that the germination of Yggdrasil and the birth of Mother Life, occurred simultaneously, sending life blooming across the growing work of the Four Dragons in Kraus' design. In its sprouting stage, the 'First Breath' guarded where Yggdrasil was rooted, remaining beyond the reach of conflicts (Ba’al & Moros) that had occurred throughout the realms. 'Her' youth was spent, slowly wrapping its growths upon the weaving lifestream weft by Mother Life and the Breath of Life.

As life spread, so too did Yggdrasil, growing at an unprecedented pace. No longer did the lifestream support ‘Her’ but the other way around. ‘Her’ trunk stood tall at the center of the world, branches wrapped around the lifestream until they were without distinction, ‘Her’ gleaming foliage carrying the stars. Soon enough, the differences between ‘Her’ and the lifestream slowly disappear as they begin to converge. The Mother of Life and the Breath of Life who had been bearing its weight were finally relieved of this duty as Yggdrasil and the Lifestream, now one and the same, stood tall by itself, carrying the World of Eternia.
