The very heavens are opened by force. A red flash, persisting naught for more than a few seconds, covers Meranthe in its gaze. The origin is apparent: upon the isle whence Prospera once sat. Those with god-blood shudder, as something most horrifically vile had just occurred in defiance of the Gods.

And yet, time continues to tick onwards. But eventually visions come from not just those who share the blood of the Pantheon, but their priests and even their most ardent Champions... And even those Primordials who graced Meranthe with their occasional presence. None was safe from fragments and figments of something terrible, whether it came to them in their dreams or in their waking moments. Visions of slaughter accompany these moments, and many priests began to bleed from their noses and their mouths, as if they're being attacked on a deeper spiritual level.
