Established in 2078 by Heir and Luminary Sunsets over Moonlight, the Goldenleaf Library served as a collection of literature personally enjoyed by the royal. It featured a curation of Biographies, Poetry, Fiction, Encyclopedias and Non-Fiction works from a variety of authors. Primarily, it acted as a personal, free library for readers of their work to partake or browse before committing, permitted with such express purpose by the Lumin King Camino de Caewynn himself. Since then, the space has grown beyond its personal, humble beginnings into an involved, community orientated space. Its staff a limited selection of intelligent, mostly reserved Faeborne librarians who tackle day to day management of the library's health-- aiding visitors, answering questions, tidying the space and ensuring the collection is well-documented, among other tasks. 

 

The Goldenleaf Library features a variety of works across Meranthe that tend to align with the values of the realm, but does explore material foreign to it in order to aid of expanding world view. Typically closed off, but not ignorant to the world's turn outside the Mother Goddess' protecting forests that shroud the Realm of Delphina. Though within that embrace, inside the library tucked away within Amaryllis' temple, boasts a variety of events aimed towards writers, readers, and younger citizens. From story times and book signings, contests and other events, the Goldenleaf Library aims for community and preservation overall. 

 

Given its small staff, personally selected by the Heir Luminary, applications to join its staff oft remains close, as hiring is a private affair. While the library currently has no open positions for librarians, there is an apprenticeship program available as of 2206. Postings hang on the library's own bulletin board and on boards around Dal'Thala. It reaches elsewhere within the Realm of Delphina as a whole, stretching to the duchy states of Nereides and Arcadia, even the famed, secretive city Saenessa along with various small villages and towns. 

 

Underneath the wing of the Heir and Luminary Sunsets over Moonlight, the personal apprenticeship teaches a young creative certain values of working within the library itself. Emphasis on research, curation, preservation, hosting, etiquette and contribution to both self and land itself. The apprenticeship has no definitive end, lasting as long as it needs to before the Heir Luminary decides the learning apprentice is ready to leave the bounds of their wing. It consists of mentoring and many projects in hopes of preparing the young Faeborne (ideally) for the world. As you settle into the library, you'll know that some things you will work on includes:

 

- Volunteer work

- Donation gathering

- Collection curating

- Event management
- Story writing
- Book restoration

You:

- Are Faeborne, ideally...

- At least 16 years old
- Are a citizen of the Realm of Delphina

- Are 180 RPL

- Do not start with the faith class, but will have the opportunity of proper mentorship by the Heir Luminary if interested -- however:

- Received medical training before starting you apprenticeship

- Have an odd companion, one bound to your side (Arcanium Weapon, but non-traditional. A book, a pen, a brush, etc.)

- Will work alongside the Heir Luminary's child and now fellow apprentice, Eventide and potentially one other
- Will start as soon as possible!
