Secluded Hounds, Set Free - The Sulibella Family
#1
"... This one promised her, that one day, you would run free, that you would be isolated no longer.
If they were to delay it for any longer, could they truly say they honored her wishes?"

Under the artificial, starlit sky of Unreality's Twilight Isle
Two children, twins, were brought into existence.
For all of your life, that black sky was all you had ever known,
the confines of that isle and your parents' library the walls to an isolated garden that was your existence...
Yet today, on your shared tenth birthday, that will change.
For, just as promised ever so long ago, you shall see the sun at long last, and walk into the world on your own two feet.

YOUR PARENTS:

Your Ookami mother, Chelsea, was always a rather odd sort.
She was woman that viewed life more as a great stage-play being observed by some sort of audience, rather than a singular existence-- And in her eyes, the natural state of the world's stage was that of a Tragedy. Deaths came swiftly, cruelly, dramatically, and typically due to folly, and it was this very kind of demise that she so often wrote the scripts of a multitude of unfinished plays for. Ultimately, and in an ironic twist of fate, it was that the very same end she herself would meet in life when you were only six.
Her untimely demise at the hands of the Camazura left eternal scars on the family, and its impact has had ripples on your life ever since.

In spite of that bloody end, however, while you were being raised by her she was a kindly and exciting mother. You would have been regaled with many a tale or adventure of epic proportions (usually over dramatized) either of her own exploits as Captain or through god knows how many novels the woman liked to keep in the shelves. There was always a flair of dramatics to these readings, and sometimes she would even create miniature dioramas out of her own blood to set the stage of these stories of chivalry, tragedy and fallen heroes.

As for practical lessons, she would have assisted in mentoring you alongside Cirrus in dueling, fencing and swordplay with her own old experiences. If an aptitude for blood magic was shown, she could have even taught you personally. Much would be taught about the rush of adrenaline, the thumping in one's ears and the frantic beat of your own heart and how to tap into this chaotic rhythm that she named "The Earth's pulse."

It has never exactly been clear what Cirrus, your unawakened Nephilim parent, is to you.
While undeniably your biological parent, they have hardly expressed any sentiment that could mark them within the defining role of a mother or father, and for as long as you have been able to speak has insisted that you refer to them as your parent, or simply Cirrus, and nothing else.
They are an inexpressive person openly, withholding many secrets from you including the purpose behind why you were forbid from leaving Unreality as youths, and oftentimes struggles to explain how exactly their feel, but after living with them for ever so long you would have picked up on the fact that body language means everything when it comes to reading the Sulibella's mood, far more than their words or facial expressions.
Cirrus was, before Chelsea's death, an exceedingly caring, calm, and unerringly fair (if at times overbearing) parent, ensuring that you within your youth were cared for and shown near boundless love and affection, and that no harm came to you. They would have aided in those colorful story times Chelsea so adored, although this attendance was not consistent, and their own love for classical literature, religious texts, and fairy-tales oft saw them reading to you numerous books far too verbose for children of your age-- Yet through their gentle and rigorous guidance, you would understand them perfectly well in spite of their denseness. From a young age, you would have had at least a cursory understanding of written language, and a fair grasp on the tenets of the Athelite faith due to Cirrus's own persistent devotion to the topics.
One day, however, even before you were aware of your mother's death, much changed within your household when Chelsea first vanished... And while that caring, if somewhat inexpressive parent with a fervent love for storytelling and still exists, and does their utmost to ensure you are cared for, the cracks in that serene, flawless persona began to show. Cirrus, in spite of their best attempts to obscure it, suffered tremendously from grief during this early period, and oftentimes would be bedridden, if not outright gone under the pretense of work, for excruciatingly long hours of the day.

Whenever they were away, though, several recurring faces, namely your grandmother Justia and a strange woman who appeared rather close to Cirrus known as Autumn and her own children would have always been there to ensure your safety, provide enrichment for you, and would have always reassured you of your parent's love for you, even in their absence. For quite some time, it remained unclear why Cirrus had suddenly become so distraught, and it ultimately took great persuasion and two entire years before they opened up, and explained to you of your mother's death, the cause for their distress.

Ultimately, it is up to you how you feel about the rather complicated relationship you have with Cirrus, yet it would be impossible to deny that they do, in their own, unusual way, hold a tremendous well of affection for you as their children.

Practically, Cirrus would have given you an excellent education, and been a driving force in educating you in the ways of manners, faith, and if interested, traditional Aphrosi swordplay and fencing. If one showed a talent for the blade, or for the Sulibella line's signature of light and shadow magics, greater attention to your mentoring as a magi would have been offered, and you would have learned well of the secrets behind their agile, dramatic swordsmanship.

YOU:
Are one of two twins, set to turn ten in 2224 AC.
Are both Ookami, although you need not be identical twins unless you desire to be.
Can have either white, black, blonde, or possibly even the purple hair of your grandmother Jaizara.
Most likely follow the Athtelite or one of the two Krausite faiths within Unreality, although the former is more likely.
Have the bloodline of an Athelios Nephilim, due to your parent Cirrus.
Are very loved, in spite of the complications relating to your upbringing.
Have never left Unreality until now, and would have had your existence kept secret for many years for an unknown reason.
Have the potential to, eventually, inherit a very cool unique once Cirrus gets old, if you go Light and Shadow and adhere to the Athelite faith.

OOC Notes:
This role is a rather heavy one, and your upbringing was not perfect, given its background, but it is intended to be fun.
You'll be provided everything you need, such as boosters and protection, and have a lot of cool ic that will be revealed if you are picked for the role!
You can message @mat13296_54463 or @slugslob on Discord if you are interested, or have any questions.
PS: There are more kids, but they're some ways out from spawning, so this is detailing the eldest childrens' lives.

Have fun!
