Idea (for chance/nadrew): If blocking, do not apply the mana DR or DR from buffs (spells, etc). Just apply the block DR (33% normal, 50% conjurer). This is easier than instating a global DR cap. This is only a few lines of code!

Edit: Conjurer was only nerfed because of DR stacking builds where you can press Z to negate 80% of incoming damage. I'm sure the downvoters are scared of the dreaded 80% DR meme, but this doesn't allow for that.

I will trust ur words and upvote ur second post tho... A flat 50% reduct that doesnt stack atop of all the other DR% reducts would be nice, i’d think.

if im understanding u right, its 50% dr on block, but out of block its only your mcap+aura+spells like shield, whereas shield wont apply dr % on block, and aura and mcap wont be incorporated into it either.

but... Okay my question is, what about people who don’t go conjurer? Would this further nerf them or would they get the old coding?
