Children have half AP gain and -10% DR and can't app for hiddens unless they want to be denied. I'm not seeing the issue here. Everyone is ignoring the fact that these children are magi children like Esme said. What this sounds like is people just don't want to lose to an eleven year old kid. Just say that. There's no immersion broken because a lot of these children are children of war and forced to grow up and take up cadethood or a sword. The immersion breaking is thinking that these war orphans should be defenseless so adults don't get their teeth kicked in by an RPL 150 kid with -10% DR. It seems like many are ignoring that fact and any IC that children characters have. These kids train relentlessly so just take your L. They shouldn't be nerfed because they're close to beating you or you're just shit at verb but, if they're nerfed then they're nerfed. 
 
There is no appeal to being a child, also. Especially if you're someone who doesn't RP all the time. You're less 'ahead' than when starting at 14. If anything, sounds like a 'play a better kid' thread while also ignoring the kid's IC. If anything, talk about adults who take it upon themself to discipline random, likely orphan kids themself? That's a little weird but yeah, give kids -80% DR, less stats and more punishments when they're already worse than playing a bit older. They're magi children. Take your potential L with pride. 
 
Talk about interactions between some of these adult characters and children characters while you're at it. IC gets ignored or belittled for whatever reason and I'm threatened with limb removal and people's red text includes thoughts of feeding me to demons for... being an angry and stubborn eleven year old? And then restrain 1 cap perming also. Yeah, fuck them kids.
 
But nerf kids with incomplete bars, less RPL and barred from hiddens.
