I had people ask me to retcon Odins children to be playable now because Alexander's are when ..... Alexander is 8 years older than Odin and pushing that age means he and Aradia had them at 16, just so mine wouldn't be left in the dust.
It goes the other way, too, that if characters arent ushered to the side, theyll stay center stage. Even when they're not someones main anymore, because now their character is 30 and has kids and theyve started as one of their friends kids to play at that same time, they do it on another key and keep their old character in political spotlight but at the side, only coming out when needed.
Bich I just wanted to play/got asked if i could play a noble kid. That's it, it didn't have anything to do with 'keeping up'. The new wave? None of that matters, nor will it to some people, like me. My original idea is what I'm currently doing and they are still a child.
I don't agree with age nerfs, simply because these same people will turn around and argue the same when it comes to aging. No one wants to lose, I get it. But this is just another form of 'this build is too strong, nerf it.' When not everyone has the same problem.
Builds are nasty and verb skills start showing as older people rebirth/make alts and it isn't cute. I can admit that kids who try and flex on adults are not cute. But in the same vein neither are adults who legit try and flex on kids. Most of the time they are the ones who even start the fight. They want to 'teach manners' and 'respect' when you can just give them a verbal lashing. You don't have to VERB them and beat the fuck outta them to get your point across and if you do?
Well i dunno what to tell you folks.
I do agree that kids are kids, and that unless there is a particularly good reason, much like the current IC. There shouldn't be kids running around going ham on things.
But I already feel like the halved gain in RPP represents their stunted growth.
Just because they rp A LOT doesn't mean you should go 'yeah it's not working, they're still gaining fast. let's punish them more.'
