If you give SOME of these things a perk, you'll need to give EVERY tree a perk, and that isn't even to mention the absolute nightmare that potentially balancing those out of combat perks would be. It's why I'm so against things like Camouflage giving immunity to scout, because I honestly believe if one tree has a very powerful OOC effect, people will start flocking towards it for that effect. Same way if a tree is naturally pretty strong(as we saw at the end of e3.5, with ice and to a lesser extent blood), you're going to see a LOT of people flocking towards it.

A balance nightmare, even if it sounds cool, IMO.
