Background/History: Tio was born to a wealthy family with a legacy of serving in the First Light, but one wouldn't know that from looking at him. With his family's aspirations hanging over his head, Tio was ushered into knighthood's training at the age of sixteen. Despite his dead-serious aura and magical potential, he rapidly fell behind the other Initiates in martial prowess, spiralling into failure after failure in academics and training.
Before Tio could be handed the shame of being discharged, she took the plunge and resigned. The day she penned her resignation letter was the same day she stood square in front of the City Watch. If training wouldn't work, she could get plenty of experience out on the streets, right?
If it meant Tio's disownment from the family, well… that was an inevitability. (His name had thus been burnt off the family tree by his dear, seething parents.)
