A Fool's Thesis

As the pages in this book go on, the dates of each entry become further and further apart.
Sometimes the words are sparse, or perhaps even illegible.
Stained by blood, or some other fluid spilt upon them which is unrecognizable.

The research team to Apropriya, upon our arrival, had been received rather warmly.
My assistant for the trip was one who had actually sought me out after reading my paper as it were published by a Britannian news outlet.
A nice young woman with bright blue hair called Lucinda.

She seems to know Apropriya rather well, fascinated by their culture and eager to come along as a guide of sorts.
At any rate, Lucinda was able to procure lodgings for us, in a small section of a castle built on a cliff. They call the city it is attached to 'Balaren,' apparently the smallest city of Apropriya,
though where I have found myself standing, it is quite grand to behold. Everyone here is considered quite wealthy by Apropriyan standards, apparently.
Lucinda says the night life is lovely.

From what I have come to understand, the owner of this particular section we've rented off is one Lady Invidia, a figure yet to make themselves apparent to me.
I'm willing to bet that she will be a prime subject to study.

There will be a party held soon in this place... just what types of parties can vampires even hold?
I hope they are not what one would conclude.
