Despite not being a grand staple of magi society in recent years, the Quarts Company has set out to put on yet another spectacle. This time, however, there are certain restrictions that were not in place prior.

Letters are sent out to many thousands of magi and the respective representatives of the kingdoms of Esshar, including those which linger on the fringe of society. The greatest fighters in the country will likely be in attendance.

"You are hereby invited to attend the Grand Tournament of 1861, and your presence has been requested by the Quarts Company."

"I am capable of feats of magic and power, but will leave all blood feuds at the door and respect my host's state of independence. I will fight and act honorably throughout the duration of the Grand Tournament."

"Furthermore, vampires and those who practice witchcraft, as well as monsters are barred from participating in this tournament. Their safety will not be assured should they show up uninvited. Leaders are also barred from participating."

The prizes are as follows:
A slight alteration from what was originally offered, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place combatants will receive 30k coins, 20k coins, and 10k coins respectively, as well as a choice between five different rewards, going from 1st place choice onwards.

These will include a Tier A blade, an amulet, a ring, special boots, and a special cloak.

Per custom and tradition there will be a priceless Chiron gem for a lucky combatant chosen in a raffle consisting of those who participated.
