Character: Vivian pyr Docro
Event: No clue, was invited last minute.
Responsiveness: A lot of the narrations early on were pretyped, which definitely helped speed things along. Later on things slowed down (and in all the event ran long at a little over 8 hours), but the quality was enough to merit it.
Balance: Fights were engaging and fun; quite a few were especially difficult to get at as an armed user, but openings were made frequently enough and sequences which made the boss inaccessible were predictably avoidable—good faux-mechanics.
Storytelling: Thematically coherent, including temps/perms/items that tied into the flavoring of the event. Some of the items (like the book) seem to have had a lot of thought put into them.
Fairness: The risk table was presented at the beginning of the event and was suitable for a chance of death event!
Overall: I had a good time, I'd happily go on another event with this DM at the helm.
