Character: Sarte
Which Event: Volcanic Venture II
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): The narrations seemed quick and full of information.
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): The puzzle and traps were interesting (though I had to go afk for a bit when escaping the traps), missing a slight bit. As for the battles.. this would be my second event (that isn't a world event). It was nice to see the patterns, and for something that was a supposed to be challenging, it was. Though, as someone who is a melee character, and an unarmed at that, it was exactly as I expected. Incredibly nice, not sarcastic at all, to see what rushing at powerful dragon as the self-proclaimed greatest martial artist would be like. My allies probably feared for my safety watching my health drop. Bringing a knife to a gunfight type of situation, and I was the knife-wielder. I volunteered for this even after knowing who the final boss would be! However, if I were to join an event in the future, it's to prepare Burden, as I foolishly thought that Energy Shield would an okay replacement.
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): As someone not from the first part of the event, I did my best to understand what was going on. For what I did find out about it, the contents of the narrations were great.
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?) There were things that could have been done on my end to lower the amount of pain that I received during the fights. Seeing X ally's hp being near full while mine being depleted a good bit easily told me it was a skill issue. For what my character is, I was expecting a permanent injury out of this event, and enjoyed seeing the one that I received. As for the rewards, I came into the event knowing that only X amount of people would be able to have some, since there was a group of 10 PCs. However, the greatest reward was to experience the event and being a part of something somewhat big (and the new title that I can now add to my character). The coin reward will most likely be used to fix my injury, but with how cool it is, maybe I'll leave it untreated.
Overall: 10/10 experience. I would jump into the flames and take 80% of my hp down again in the pursuit of doing something that might be even the smallest bit cool. A slight regret is not rushing in to attack the boss when it had a sliver of hp left, but when you only have less than 10k hp left and can go down in one attack, with AoEs on the floor as melee, I hesitated. Then again, though cool to do a last stand rush at the boss, it was not fitting as my IC against the dragon may have been the weakest. I very much enjoyed the RP for the final hit from those who had the most IC for this fight.
Any other comments: I apologize for the times that I went absent. Hopefully, it wasn't too disruptive. Sarte's IC to joining this event. Overheard preparations for fighting a dragon and volunteered because it sounded interesting, fully knowing the pain that would come.
