“A lost pilgrim enters the cocoon. Do you seek salvation, or perhaps redemption itself?”

The existence of a priest off on a distant, unknown island upon Meranthe makes itself readily apparent. It is ignored save for a few weary travellers who have heard of a miracle man offering them a means of escape from their worthless lives.

They come to him and find salvation; enlightenment in a way. He has cured many; saving them of ailments and physical disability. The only thing he asks in return is for them to take a pilgrimage beforehand, and upon returning, he will grant them any one wish.


And yet, for some reason, he has called upon any group of adventurers to pursue and kill a demon that is attacking members of his flock. It is unknown why this demon is pursuing them, but all that is known to you is that there is a big bad monster, and you’re expected to kill it.
