The Second Coming of Winter: [Fimbulvetr]

Across the terrain of Meranthe, the thunderous clamour of hooves signals the approach of yet another contender in the ritual. Familiar streaks of golden attire, lamellar armor and war horses give a clear representation of the Golden Horde on the move.

For some time, it remains unclear to where they march in such great numbers. But soon enough the bold Steppe warriors make their intentions clear. A contract made, signed and paid for. The Horde would defend the ritual site.

Though, perhaps the most disturbing sight to onlookers who have not yet heard the news, is the demon at the head of the Army, next to the Khan herself. Hulking mass of sinew and muscle, delivering a message to all that appeared at the mountain.
Quote:
"How ironic it is, that the Lord of Death must be revived to break this cycle of stagnancy. You mortals deny your own strength and cower behind your walls until the very last moment. Come then! Test your mettle against the great war that comes to claim you all. Let us see if your warriors are filled with determination, or desperation!"

Following the message of the Demonic warleader, the Khan herself speaks.

Quote:"Wake upYou are so far up your own heads and religious zealotry that you do not see the small army at your disposal should you just pay for it. Instead, your enemies move to pay for our services because they know how our job works. You stagnate yourselves and put yourselves in a position where you align yourself for failure. We are not 'evil'. We are not 'good'. We are a force that any can pay for, because we are neither. Maybe now you will finally wake the fuck up."

Horses are dismounted, and a training regimen begins. Perhaps an advertisement for the dedication and cohesion of the mercenary force to those that watched them upon Mount Grimjhall.
