You know what?
Why not?
"A captain's Eulogy"
Why not?
"A captain's Eulogy"
One Two Four, the calamity came,
a child turned orphan, parents lost in flame.
Then a captain took in the lost, Vilhelm Von Mare his name,
and so begun the tale, of Stede Vane's fame.
Through guile and bluffs, he made a gamble with Misfortune,
with crew and friends, he won out with Fortune.
Then to Blackthorn Cove he went, against pirates he crossed,
too careless he was, and his leg was lost.
But the boy did not deter, still filled with mettle,
he strived anew on new footing, a cannon limb of metal.
Many battles he had faced, for riches and glory,
to recall them all, would be quite the story.
Then the boy grew, and age left its feature.
From father to grandfather, he became their teacher.
Riches and glory galore, yet what could be more treasured,
than the life of his descendants, with no expense measured?
And so the life of Stede Vane is about to come to its end,
An exchange for one to another, his grandson's freedom to defend.
For in truth, when pursued from villainy, from witches to crown?
There was no other way, to keep the old captain down.
