Volcanic Ash and Dragon's Lake
Prologue

"Those who can cast away fear and travel the depths of the unknown shall grow closer to the divine ones."

     Rumors spread throughout Meranthe, oft times exaggerated tales and made-up ventures that were embellished. Thus, most whispers are to be taken with only nary a grain of salt. However, some rumors pique the interest of those who they pertained to. And this tale in particular, was one that the draconic boy had heard. At the age he heard it, a ripe sixteen-- He was full of ambitions and vigor, and methods of challenging himself and thus devoted to becoming closer to Ryujin the Divine Dragon. The tale is as so:

Far to the north, on an island that is surrounded by rough waves and frozen waters lay a mountain. Though this mountain is no ordinary mountain, as there were various of other rumored treasures within-- The real prize is deeper within, the 'mountain' in reality in a contained volcano-- and in the depths of its treacherous depths would lay something far more important than riches and gold. A draconic archive, filled with texts in the tongue of the old, knowledge that to call lost would be incorrect-- It was never common knowledge, it was hidden intentionally. Only to be found by the bravest of the drakanite who hoped to test their mettle. 

Thus, a pilgrimage to these unknown lands is to commence. To see what the real truth within the mountains is.
