[Absolution]


On the fateful day,
when I was born again,
I heard their cries,
of desperation, awe and fear.

I wonder,
how terrible it must be for them.
Am I not the reflection of the man,
do I not look like them?

Perhaps it's what terrifies them the most,
that in our most wicked, most horrifying form,
we look just like them.

But it is no matter.
My divine purpose remains unchanged.
Humanity must be tested,
and I shall be their judge.

The weak shall fall.
The strong shall be exalted.
And perhaps, in the end,
this crude mass could be made whole,
made perfect.

The greatest test awaits still.
