What is a legacy?

Am I supposed to carry this burden to my grave? Pass it on to my children?

Living in your shadow has always been the most difficult thing I've done.

I will never live up to the expectations you've set. That others have set for me. It has been this way since as long as I can remember.

No longer.

I have looked to the past. They are always with me, you see? The forces that would bend this world to their will. The memory of those long past. I see them all. They will be brought forth for all to hear.

No longer will I live in the shadow of others. Yours least of all, grandfather.

My choice has been made. There is no other path forward but my own. I will step forward and claim my birthright, granted by the very blood that runs through my veins. Be it through blood or peace, Meranthe will have its Golden Age.

Grandfather. Uncle. My dear cousin. Father...

For all that I am, you may hate me. But, there is one simple truth..
