Towering above dunes stands one temple with desert-hardened foliage climbing its sandstone columns. A jewel amongst the inhospitable landscape houses the Sainted Enclave, where hopeful beliefs thrive unhindered. As the Constant of Hope overlooks those capable enough to contend with destructive, Helish forces, there is validity in spreading the enthusiasm to carry onward onto another day.
Receiving assistance when everything seems bleak is like quenching one's thirst within scorching temperatures; be it through defending others, providing accessible resources, or performing medical miracles, good-natured actions can deliver the light to severe the darkness.
It is under His guidance that the world may flourish after sinful blights disappear from Meranthe.
Understand that this momentous task not only requires one component, but many from its prospects. Those interested in joining the Sainted Enclave need to embrace mental resilience during their responsibilities, they must also be willing to perform civic duties as much as engaging in combat. This group can be considered militant in certain aspects, however, centered around the Pylaean denomination. Ranks demonstrate the overall contributions given by affiliates of the sect.
Ranks
✹ Incandescent ✹
The radiance that brightens everything beneath its touch. A leader over the Sainted Enclave is dubbed the Incandescent alongside their preferred noun [i.e. Incandescent Diviner]. Many fail to compare to this devout's dedication towards Pylae and the Church of Twelve. Responsible for political situations, promoting/ demoting members, mentoring, giving out tasks, and otherwise, they manage the Sainted Enclave down to its finest details.
✸ Illuminant ✸
Illuminants are the second-in-command. Ambition has been shown on all accounts, making them adequate stand-ins whenever the Incandescent is unavailable. Similar to council people, updates and meeting requests are relayed to the communion's leadership.
✷ Edifiant ✷
An Edifiant begins serving as the liaison between the public and Pylae while bearing the third-highest rank. They are competent under trying circumstances and are trusted to hold sermons without supervision. There is a benchmark to be recognized before an offer for this position is given.
✶ Hopeful ✶
The second-most division from Initiate is the Hopeful rank. These individuals have passed their trials and are proven knowledgeable about the faith during the process. Pledging themselves to the greater good, reliance can now be found in them as the namesake suggests.
✦ Initiate ✦
Someone who is actively studying the faith to ascertain a better understanding of Pylae and His Twelve Saints. Whether curious enough to pursue more information or firm in their path toward enlightenment, this is where the pilgrimage starts for them, not yet prepared enough to carry out His will.
Benefits
- Holy magic mentoring (Pylae followers only), baptisms into the faith, and medical training are available to those who graduate to Hopeful rank.
- Free resources to further skillsets or abilities (potions, ingredients, tools) may be given upon request as long as supplies last; higher ranks take priority.
- Dedication will be reciprocated in full. At each stage, Hopefuls and above can receive rewards to help them with their spiritual progress separate from the rest. Special items, such as equipment to ward off occultism, will be distributed when earned after advancement. Other opportunities will arise given the Silent Expanse's turbulent environment, either in the form of local events or adventures deeper into the sands.
Requirements/ Specifications
- No demons, necromancers, undead, cultists, Deephold or their affiliates are allowed to join. Occultists are prohibited from joining, as well, unless they show repentance and agree to having their occultism exorcised.
- Members can worship other Primordials and Constants (excluding Hel or Hel-adjacent ones), so long as they respect and revere Pylae within the temple and related environments; they can also belong to allied nations unless those aforementioned settlements are currently at war.
- Those allowed and interested may send Incandescent Diviner Alhena Avincus a letter or visit the Ascended Sanctuary.
- The first initiation trials to become a Hopeful will be on 04/11/2023 at 8PM EST. Participants are expected to have basic knowledge about Pylae and their combat experience will be tested (likely a mini-tournament).
