Summer's Advent

Before the first glimmer of creation, she was set forth to create sanctuary for the Land, the Beast, and the Man. In order to accomplish this, the  Summer Wolf dashed through the great void, her paws striking down to create first light. The sun came to manifest, heavenly rays cast down to provide warmth and sanctity to all. With first light came the first summer, and the land, the beast, and the man were preserved for the world to know truths.

Emergence of the Devourer

And yet, with unending preservation and unabated growth, the meaning to life could not yet be known. Creation was yet incomplete, and thus came from the shadows is He Who Lurks. The Summer Wolf was hunted, forced into a chase by the black beast. With each stroke of his paws, he cast his influence upon the Land, the Beast, and the Man. The first was afflicted with a darkness and cold, that wilted growth. The second came to know a terrible plague, that compelled the being to hunt and consume. The third, came to know ambition. To crave, to dream, and to destroy.

Banners unravel, fluttering in the wind. Upon its inked surface depicts two paw prints- one black, and one white, twisted around one another in a circular pattern. A temple has been erected in dedication to the duality of the Divine Spirits- Asena & Saekanis. Called the Melodian Sanctuary, the newly founded temple serves a place of worship to the Asenites, the Saekanni, and most especially- those who follow the Balance: the Melodians.

Who & What?

The Melodian Faith is a progressive reimagining on the worship of Asena & Saekanis' duality. The Melodians lie in the balance of the Asenites & Saekanites, believing strongly both in the power of Asena's preservation and Saekanis' ruination.

The Melodian Sanctuary is dedicated to this system of worship. The objective of the temple is to provide an alternative view on the laws of nature, relating the world's structure and progression of events to the unending pursuit & cycle between the Survivor of the Chase and the World Devourer. The worship and teachings of the faith are often spread through stories for listeners to interpret, as worshipers are encouraged to find their personal truths on where they belong on the spectrum of Asena & Saekanis' balance.
