The turn of the century has come; a new era rises for the faithful.

It's time for this again; it's been a long time coming, after all.

Though most of you have already been tested, in faith and combat...

It is time for the trials to begin in truth.

The Rules:

Each squire is encouraged to continue challenging one another or the Enemies of the State, starting in 2103 and until the end of the year.
A tournament will be held to close off the trials and finalize the evaluations.

While the Trials are considered a pass/fail challenge, there will be no point system, this time; a tally is being kept, nevertheless.

Failure to report a victory to Commander Lyco Corbin, Umbral Captain Mnemosyne, or Astral Captain Ezra 

will render your achievement null and void.

Attempt to cheat the system, bribe other squires for victory, or otherwise commit fraud in the trial will result in public lashings.

Do you have a beef with one of your comrades?
Do you want to make them look really bad in front of your leaders?!

THIS GIVES YOU NO BENEFIT WHATSOEVER!!!

A HUMILIATION BATTLE is initiated when the challenger imposes a handicap upon themselves.

A 'handicap' constitutes any serious detriment to one's chances of winning.

LIST OF VALID HANDICAPS:

• Challenging 2 or more opponents at once
  
  
• Fighting without a weapon
  
  
• Fighting without an aura or stance
  
  
• Fighting naked
  
  
• Fighting while you have to call out every attack you make before you make it
  
  
• Fighting while heavily injured
  
  
• (For Melee Fighters) Battling your opponent in a cramped space full of obstacles
  
  

The Humiliation Battles serve no purpose outside of being an encouragement to seek greater challenges.

With the tournament concluded, and the year having long since passed, an announcement goes out to make known the names of the new generations of Knights of the Bastion.

Loramelian, Matthew Ueda, Nallonia Mors, Jeanne Equisol, Bite, Elise Corbin, Sanfey, Zicoftryx.

Congratulations. You have all passed. Stand proud, now, as fully-fledged Knights, and carry out your work in the name of Athelios and the Oracle. Your service within the Bastion has a new beginning. Each of you are yet faced with the choice between Umbra and Astra, however. When the choice is made, you will inform the respective Captain.

For those of you who have not passed, do not lose heart, for there will be more chances to prove yourselves should you desire to.
