At the depths of the cosmos, way beyond stars,
rests a myriad of gazes staring down at nowhere,
predatorily waiting for something to get entangled in their net.

Legend says that acknowledgment is the most powerful thing that a being could gift to another - as a consequence, a whole amalgam of crawling, twisted, and forgotten entities crave for such. As one could imagine, however, it's not easy to seize the crowd's attention when the stage is so far away from the public's gaze; even less when the spectacle offered in trade for such could be the loss of your own being.

But sometimes, you simply need to cast a bait to fish for the very first prey, and then, wait for them to do the rest.
There's a reason behind the existence of the saying 'curiosity killed the cat', after all.
