Twenty years ago, in the aftermath of the Citadel's defense, he fell—the Champion of Felfyraxes, the Archdragon Shui Avintess. Slain by the hand of one who would later be known as Ualdir's Chosen.

One ever so powerful; a commander of the Skarnfel Empire, with a reign of terror that plagued Meranthe amidst his ascent to power, however brief. Yet, the strength and the titles were earned as much through battle as they were bestowed, having received the boon from the emissary of the Black Dragon itself. To be anointed as its Champion, crowned as its Supreme.

All within a temple of corruption lost to time. But the memories of the fallen endure, do they not? Carried on through others or recorded in the annals of history. Or, as here, penned before the embrace of nothingness.

And as the ancient rivalry between the War God and the Marquis reignites its pyres fierce and harsh, only one outcome stood in the face of it—death.
