The Final Act
Swiftly, off the heels of being exiled from Dal'Thala by the Selkie named Evangeleana the Hime of the Shigenobu Clan wound up within Goldlight.
A stern debacle was had, the two individuals sharing words about the Knight Commander's wife, Vinaska. It seemed bitter, and deeply personal. Nonetheless the result of this encounter was a duel, one to which the Knight Commander handily won, capturing the Shigenobu in the process.
There, the Shigenobu expressed a desire to die, to be freed of his suffering.
That request was granted by Kastore, but ultimately denied by the Knight Commander himself, who elected to allow Renfae to slay the vile Shigenobu. Such had been done quickly, he was provided no final words, other than his resistance to his demise:
"I refuse to die to you!
You defamed me!
You're a liar!"
Though, whether Renfae had committed this murder, or Thomas G. Equisol had, is a point of contention. Nonetheless, this was a very public execution in Goldlight's square. During the debacle, he was very intentionally misgendered by the Oracle. In death, and in life, he would be disrespected.
Shiri Shi Shigenobu died with no possessions to his name.
He was no longer a Faeborne, his nemean blessings had been revoked by the Lumin King.
He wielded no items of significance beyond a master staff, and the faith he served had abandoned him to this fate.
The home he had, he was exiled from and struggling to afford to begin with.
For all intents and purposes, Shiri Shi Shigenobu died alone, impoverished, crippled, and likely, clinically insane. All that would remain, was his legacy given onto this world, his beliefs and his ideals of a better tomorrow. His texts, mortal Jurisprudence, and the Aphrosian dogmata are forever lost, likely never to be found, or seen ever again.
These texts were given to Renfae just years prior, he was entrusted to grant them to someone, but who would ultimately be lost to time.

He had planned to retire at 40, however he died at the age of 39, it seems almost poetic how close he would come to all of his dreams, only to suffer a rapid decline, and to lose it all, including his life.
And as he traversed the realms, shifting to his final resting place, he holds but one thought:
And as he traversed the realms, shifting to his final resting place, he holds but one thought:
"Love, and I.
A conviction that could not have been.
Yet still, I sought more than that...
For I desired what could have been."
