The Premise:
Resting atop a cliff, the castle of the Mementos of Mortyl is an imposing structure in the Gothic architectural style. Tall, spired towers reach skyward, their ironwork accents casting eerie shadows in the moonlight. Gargoyles perch menacingly along the parapets, their stone eyes keeping eternal watch over the grounds. The castle's thick stone walls are adorned with intricate carvings and buttresses, giving it an air of both strength and haunting beauty. Surrounded by dense, mist-laden forests, the castle overlooks a tumultuous sea that crashes against the rocky shore below. The landscape is dotted with jagged rocks and ancient trees, their twisted forms silhouetted against the cloudy sky. A narrow, winding path leads up to the castle, flanked by wildflowers and brambles that add a touch of color to the otherwise somber scene. The castle stands as a testament to the strength and resilience of those who had lived there, and a reminder of the legacy of those who had come before. It is a monument both to their past and their future.
A Messenger of Mortyl has descended from above, gracing the Mementos with (he/she/their) presence. This Messenger gives the Mementos of Mortyl a task to complete and a time frame to complete it within. Success would be met with a boon, while failure would be met with one of a variety of consequences depending on how bad the failure is.
Boons and consequences are completely up to the DM.
