Time is like a river, constantly flowing and changing.

A whimsical red glow floats from the southern seas over to the mainland- the object just close enough for the eye to see- a single red paper lantern- a message also tied to the bottom.

" A lantern festival to celebrate the new year and the changing of seasons to be held. A tradition from Sheng to you- to be hosted by the Illuminated and their faithful.

Write your wish for the new year upon an Ema and place it upon the board at the shrine, where the local gods and spirits may receive them. 

Try out traditional Sheng cuisine at the food stalls, prepared by a certain culinary fox.

And last but not least, the releasing of the lanterns into the grand sea- to carry our desires upon the waters and start anew once more. Anyone who wishes to contribute may send letters to the head healer of Fortunes governmental building. "

Another red lantern is sent across the seas, reaching the mainland- this time an advertisement for the upcoming Lantern festival being held in fortune.

" Need community service hours? Done something horrible and want to contribute back to Meranthe? Or maybe you are just bored out of your mind~?

Come apply to be a festival attendant today! Its a one time shift lasting about eight hours~ the pay is four grand coins~ to be paid after the conclusion of the event!

Spots are limited, with only five slots available. Murderous intent Will void your pay! unless its in self defense.

Half a dozen red lanterns disperse themselves from the southern seas reaching the mainland clad in golden filigree and the language of the Shengese people, lazilly bobbing through the morning sky.

"As the festivities prepare to start, I on behalf of the helpers would like to list some of the details of the upcoming event.

Upon reaching Fortune you will be greeted with a lovely layout of royal reds and candles prepared by the local artisans- each painstakingly made over the course of the last few months. The Workforce of King Vandal and Queen Ruka contributing heavily to this exchanging of culture.

Lined in the square we have various dishes inspired from the Blue Isles and the Mainland of Sheng ( with the other regions being honored in their own ways.)

To the northwest of the Square we have the traditional paper net fishing game- where you test your skill and dexterity to win small prizes~ and to the east of that we have ring toss. Test your accuracy and concentration to get a chance at winning some beast fragments from the lovely Carina~

For the Children for those teenage and younger we have the Illuminated tenants hunt~ Can you find all of them? Lucky kids who complete the task get the prize of a gift of gab~ though act quickly- theres a limited supply~

And for those who just wish to relax- seating has been added around the Isle so couples and other may take in the atmossphere~ untill the conclusion of the festival on the beach!
