The Grand Spiritmacner, Sophie Durand, is a rather fickle woman. An air of whimsy brought on by one of her title as a Chaos mage, leads her to do things of utter destruction, as much as compassionate good. Although the last time she had announced her intentions to do a ritual, it had ended in a large skirmish, this time around. The announcement is far less controversial.

A festival of sorts will be held. Themed and styled after spirits, the intent is rather clear on the surface. Celebrate spirits, whether of elemental construction, or more metaphysical or ethereal forms. A grand offering to those just beyond the veil. It will be a chance for any spiritmancers, learned or otherwise to glean new knowledge, perhaps to connect with some of the planar beings that might pass by on such an occassion.

It is also no doubt that it might be caused by some of the sweeping events that went down in Meranthe, the continent had changed. Yet the people needed time, and a provided occassion to reflect upon the things that happened, and move on. Such is the offer bestowed upon the people of Meranthe by her.

There is a feeling that there might be more at play here, but why not enjoy what peace and festivities are offered. The main attraction will be something called 'The Dance of the New Moon' not necessarily a ballroom dance. Rather, something of a tradition in spiritually-attuned cultures, going by any names, the goal of it is to shed any past doubts, regrets, and other worldly longings, and enter a new age with a clear, refreshed mind.

As she herself puts it...

"Through expression of your body language, on the night of the festival, you will be able to shed your past regrets, weight of crushed defeats that might've been an obstactle, will be cleared. Your mind will calm, your thougths a steady flow of a river.

Shed the past era, become the new person. For there will be new threats to your perception of ideal.

You will need all the mental anchors to handle it."

Time: Sunday, 8/24/2025 | 1 PM EST

Location:  Somewhere on the vast field, north-east of Goldlight. Away from cities.

Note: This event is hosted by a neutral party with no clear sponsorship from any nation/faction, thus the invitation is extended to everyone equally with a conditon.

The condition is that no hostilities or major distruptions are expected of those who attend, the consequence for such might be dire, and not just on the person, but the festival itself.

Beware, and behave, even if you see your enemy. It is time for celebration, not bloodshed.
